Anaheim White House Restaurant
The only boutique national landmark restaurant in Orange County
FORMER US Presidents Jimmy Carter and George Bush, Madonna, Danny De Vito, Andrea Bocelli, David Beckham, Al Pacino and Brad Pitt are just some of the famous celebrities who have enjoyed the unforgettable experience of dining at the Anaheim White House Restaurant. Owned by award-winning Italian immigrant chef Bruno Serato, Anaheim White House is a 101-year old National Historical Landmark in Orange County. It is gourmet fine dining at its best, offering patrons the finest in food, service and ambience.

In the heart of Orange County, located just minutes from the Disneyland Resort, Honda Center, Angels Stadium, and the Anaheim Convention Center, the landmark jewel has been dubbed as Anaheim’s most famous hidden treasure. It is located at 887 South Anaheim Blvd and provides free limousine and shuttle service to and from the hotels in the Anaheim area! Built in 1909 looking like the White House in Washington, the mansion has been preserved excellently, now offering 12 different dining rooms for private parties and special events.
A new addition has been added, called the West Wing, which is an elegant 150-capacity banquet facility located adjacent to the White House mansion. It’s the perfect place for weddings and events. In fact, last June 19, a successful Inaugural Red Carpet Bridal Show & Wedding Expo was held at its West Wing from 11am to 4pm. Many guests came to view the bridal fashion show and meet local wedding vendors, and excitedly partook of the complimentary hors d’oeuvres & champagne.
“I have been in the food business in Italy since I was 14 years old,” said Bruno who has owned Anaheim White House since 1987, just a short time after immigrating to America.
Interestingly, Bruno’s sister, Stella, married a Filipino US Army from La Union, Alfredo Ibay, who was stationed in Italy in 1965. Stella and Alfredo eventually settled in Orange County where they invited Bruno over for a visit. Bruno liked America and decided to stay here. He worked for a time at the famous La Vie en Rose in Brea before he went off on his own and started the Anaheim White House in 1987. Bruno’s creative and delectable Italian cuisine, mixed with French and American entrees soon gained a gourmet reputation and lured famous people to his restaurant. “My philosophy is simple: to treat each and every one of my patrons like a distinguished guest in my home,” said Bruno.
Anaheim White House is proud to have several Filipino-Americans in its staff, including Bruno’s brother-in-law, Alfredo, and nephew, Silvano Ibay (who serves as Bruno’s managing assistant), and a chef in the kitchen who have all been helping him run the award-winning restaurant.
Not only has Anaheim White House been a home to so many distinguished guests, but it is also a home to several awards of excellence. It garnered the DiRoNA award, a very prestigious award given to only a select few in all of North America; and also the highly coveted Golden Sceptre award, the highest honor award given by the Southern California Restaurant Writers Association. Its latest achievement is the Five Star Diamond Award awarded by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences, which boasts Donald Trump on the Board of Trustees. News of this cuisine extraordinaire has been the subject of numerous reviews in international publications in Italy and Japan.
Specialties of the house include its tender, juicy steaks, lobster ravioli, calamari stuffed with crabmeat, San Dabs (thin, delicate white fish), salmon, sea bass, braised beef, Italian pastas, and unforgettable desserts. Surprisingly, one can enjoy a first-class dining experience at the Anaheim White House for a very reasonable rate—only around $25 for lunch and $30 for dinner per person. There are no extra fees to use the private dining rooms, which can be reserved for a small group of 10 up to over 150 people.
