The landmark restaurant unveils new West Wing tonight; descendents, Ducks join centennial party.

One of Orange County’s most iconic restaurants, the Anaheim White House, is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the mansion in which it resides with a gala celebration Friday. Festivities include the debut of its newest addition, the West Wing. Members of the Anaheim Ducks, local celebrities, fans of the restaurant and descendents of the family who occupied the original home will join in the Centennial Celebration on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Owner Bruno Serato, who purchased the restaurant from James and Bobbie Stovall 20 years ago, will unveil the restaurant’s addition: the $500,000 West Wing, a 1,700 square-foot banquet hall.

“I am delighted to celebrate a part of the county’s history and usher in a new era with the unveiling of the West Wing with my friends and special guests,” says Serato. “We thank Orange County and all of our special guests through the years for their support and look forward to many more years of fine dining.”

According to Serato, nearly 400 reservations have already been made for the $65, four-course dinner.

Among the guests will be several Anaheim Ducks players, including Brendan Mikkelson and Bobby Ryan and members of the Truxaw family, the original inhabitants of the mansion. Grandsons Tim and Bill and granddaughter Ann Truxaw Ramirez are expected to attend.

Tours of the new West Wing will be given throughout the evening. The space is earmarked for wedding receptions, business meetings, corporate affairs, large family gatherings and charity events. The room will be available to parties of 20 to 180 at no charge.

Guests of the restaurant donated most of the capital needed to build the new facility.

“I am so excited to announce the debut of the long-awaited West Wing,” says Serato. “What better way to cap off our 100-year anniversary than by unveiling this beautiful new facility?”
